Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Rights

It is our intent to keep your personal and financial information in the strictest confidence. We will only share contact and delivery information with our partners or vendors when it it is necessary to fulfill your order.

NationalGift.com and the Recipient

If the Recipient of a gift calls us to inquire about the sender, we will only read the name of the card and message on the card as submitted by the purchaser. If such information was not furnished in the designated area of the website or over the phone by the purchaser, we will not provide information about the sender. We will refer to the phone number and email address we have on file to our Retailer's when appropriate.

NationalGift.com and Information Collection

Our website(s) collect only the information necessary to process and collect payment for the order. We collect sufficient information to obtain payment authorization and funds from the buyers credit card company, to communicate via email and to arrange for delivery to the designated recipient. We may require phone numbers for both purchaser and recipient to insure that we can resolve delivery issues in a timely manner.

NationalGift.com and the Law

Except for cases in which we are working with authorities to investigate and prosecute fraudulent orders or a website security breach, we NEVER turn over our customer information to any legal or financial authority. If there is an inquiry about your account from any entity, we will disclose this fact to you within 30 days of the inquiry unless a valid court order is produced. If we are asked by the court to provide information, we will inform you of the action that we took and the information that was provided, if any, about your account.

NationalGift.com and Digital Identities

IP addresses are numbers assigned to computers when a person is using their browser to access websites on-line. The servers behind our website do identify computers by their IP addresses, but these addresses are never attached to the actual customer and their order. These addresses are catalogued separately from customer records. Cookies are digital files that can be stored on computers that contain preferences, times, dates, pages viewed and other information while on a website. We use temporary (short term) cookies only to maintain your session information as you complete your order.

NationalGift.com and Security

The NationalGift.com website uses at least 128 Bit encryption technology to transmit your order data.  This feature 'scrambles' your credit card and personal information during the brief seconds that it takes to transmit it from your web browser to our servers.  When it arrives at our server it is 'unscrambled' and processed. This method of transferring customer and financial information is the most common method of transmission on the Internet.
